VINYASA/HOT VINYASA

Created for all levels of yogi. While each teacher brings their own individual essence, this class is based around the traditional 8 limb Yoga system, as mentioned in Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Each class will incorporate different poses and sequences as well as pranayama(breathing techniques) and savasana. Arm balances, and inversions will be offered but never required. *Hot Vinyasa will have the room heated to approximately 95

 

KUNDALINI FLOW

Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness and is physical, mental and spiritual in nature. You will learn how to tap into and harness your own energy field and magnetism. Expect your vitality to increase, your life force to lift, and to feel radiantly YOU.

You will be guided through mantra, Kriya sets (kundalini meditation/breathwork/dynamic exercises) meditation and deep relaxation. Class ends in devotional song and mantra to seal the practice. This is an all levels class that will meet you where you are.

 

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga is a slow paced, passive type of yoga that works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. Yin targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues- ligaments, joints, bones and the deep fascia network of the body. Each pose is held between 3-5 minutes, using the breath to ease the body further into the pose. Yin postures are supported with props to allow for a deeper release and relaxation. Energetically, yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. Yin yoga is very meditative and is a perfect accompaniment to an active yoga practice. Accessible to all levels of practitioners.


GUIDED MEDITATION

Guided meditation is simply "meditation with the help of a guide" Guided Meditation provides an easier ways to enter into a state of deep relaxation and inner stillness, and is a powerful way to eliminate stress and bring about positive personal changes.

Your meditation guide will ask you to sit or lie comfortably. They will then guide you through a series of visualizations. As you gradually relax and become more and more still, stress fades away, and your mind becomes clearer. This class is suitable for all levels. Beginners welcomed.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release.

 

ASTANGA

Ashtanga is a disciplined form of yoga where students practice in synchronicity and maintain extraordinary focus. Ashtanga builds strength and flexibility. It is a foundational practice which invites deep concentration while at the same time providing practitioners with a powerful inward journey.
We will break down the standing, seated and finishing postures, one asana at a time. Modifications will be offered.

 

JAPA MEDITATION

Japa is the repetitive chanting of mantras as a form of meditation. This class will explore this practice in depth. Learn how to properly pronounce Sanskrit mantras and the proper meter in which they should be chanted. Learn ways you can foster a personal practice at home. A new mantra will be covered each week.

 

PRANAYAMA

Composed of specific breathing techniques (pranayama), mudras and sound mantras used to unlock energy channels.

 

GENTLE YOGA

Gentle Yoga is a slower paced class focused on releasing tension from the joints and muscles while gently stretching and strengthening all areas of the body. around healing, nurturing and revitalizing the body. Blankets, blocks, straps, chairs and bolsters might be used to make the practice more comfortable and safe. Beginners will feel at home in this class.

 

SOULFUL RELEASE

Release from the day a mixed Gentle / Vinyasa style class geared to relax the body and mind while easing you through slow variations. Class will end with a restorative meditation.

 

ABOUT OUR HEAT

For classes listed as Hot, our yoga room will be heated to approximately 92°F via infrared radiant heaters to keep your body comfortably warm.

A gentle heat which therapeutically heats the body in order to deepen your flexibility, detoxify your body, and improve cardiovascular health. All while reducing overall stress.

During these classes, you will feel a sense of grounding and stability.

So often in life, we are so busy with work, family and friends. We rarely get the chance to sit in silence. Join us for a step by step approach to silent meditation.  Join us as we tame the monkey mind.
